About the Repair & Polishing Technician Role
Repair & Polishing Technician in a jewellery showroom focuses on after‑sales work like resizing, soldering, stone tightening, clasp repair and polishing for that single showroom.
You receive job orders from counters, carry out safe and neat repair or polishing work and return pieces on time so that customers get their jewellery back in good condition.
Key Responsibilities

Jewellery Repair Work
Carry out common repair jobs such as resizing rings, fixing or replacing hooks and clasps, repairing broken chains or bangles and soldering joints as per instruction.

Stone Tightening & Setting Support
Check stone security, tighten loose stones, re‑fix prongs or mounts carefully and coordinate with senior karigar or external workshop for complex stone setting jobs.

Polishing, Cleaning & Finishing
Use polishing motors, buffs and compounds to remove scratches and give proper shine, clean jewellery safely and ensure final finish matches showroom standards.

Job Card Handling & Time Control
Read the repair or polishing job card carefully, clarify doubts with counter staff, update status and try to complete work within committed time to the customer.

Gold Loss & Metal Control
Follow procedures for dust, filing and scrap collection, record approximate loss for each job as per policy and hand over collected dust or scrap to authorised person.

Tools, Safety & Housekeeping
Maintain tools and machines in good condition, follow safety rules while using fire, chemicals or motors and keep the small workshop area neat and organised.
Candidate Requirements

Education
No formal degree required; 10th / 12th Pass with jewellery karigar training or bench work experience preferred.

Experience
2–7 years of experience in jewellery repair, polishing or bench work with a jeweller, workshop or jewellery showroom.

Skills
Good hand skills in soldering, filing, polishing and minor repairs, ability to handle delicate jewellery carefully and basic understanding of gold and diamond work.

Other Requirements
Honest and disciplined, willing to follow metal‑control procedures, ready to work full‑time inside one showroom in Moradabad and support weekend or festival rush as needed.
