About the OSS / BSS Engineer Role

Telecom and IT company in Moradabad are hiring OSS and BSS Engineers to implement, integrate, configure and support the operations and business support systems that power telecom service fulfilment, assurance and billing.

Candidates with hands-on experience in telecom OSS/BSS platforms (Amdocs, Comverse, NetCracker, Ericsson OSS), strong integration skills and understanding of telecom business processes are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • OSS Platform Administration

    Administer and maintain telecom Operations Support Systems including NMS, EMS, fault management and service assurance platforms.

  • BSS Configuration & Support

    Configure and support Business Support Systems including billing, CRM, order management and service provisioning platforms for Telecom.

  • System Integration

    Design and implement interfaces between OSS/BSS systems and network elements using REST APIs, SOAP web services and mediation adapters.

  • Incident & Change Management

    Manage OSS/BSS incidents and change requests; coordinate with platform vendors for defect resolution and patch deployment.

  • Data Migration & Reporting

    Support data migration activities during BSS upgrades; develop reports and dashboards from OSS/BSS data for business intelligence use cases.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education

    B.E./B.Tech in CSE, IT or ECE from a recognised university; specialisation in telecom IT systems is an advantage.

  • Experience

    3-9 years in OSS/BSS implementation, administration or support at a telecom operator or IT services company handling telecom accounts.

  • Technical Skills

    Experience with OSS/BSS platforms (Amdocs, Ericsson OSS, NetCracker); proficiency in SQL, Java or Python for system integration tasks.

  • Telecom Domain Knowledge

    Understanding of telecom service fulfilment, assurance and billing processes; familiarity with TM Forum frameworks (eTOM, SID, TAM).
