About the NOC Team Leader / Shift Supervisor Role
Hiring NOC Team Leader and Shift Supervisor to a Telecom Company in Moradabad. The responsibilities to lead shift teams in the Network Operations Centre, manage alarms, coordinate escalations and ensure network uptime.
Candidates with 3+ years of NOC experience and prior team leadership exposure, good knowledge of telecom alarm management and ITIL-based incident management processes are preferred for these supervisory NOC roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Team Leadership
Lead a team of 4-8 NOC Engineers during an assigned shift; allocate responsibilities, monitor workload and ensure all alarms and tickets are handled.
- Alarm & Incident Management
Oversee alarm monitoring and triage during the shift; ensure critical incidents are escalated immediately and major events are managed per protocol.
- Escalation Management
Act as the first point of escalation for complex or high-priority network issues during the shift; coordinate with field teams and L3 engineers.
- Shift Handover
Conduct structured shift handovers; communicate open incidents, pending escalations and critical network conditions to the incoming shift team.
- Performance Monitoring
Track NOC shift KPIs including MTTR, ticket closure rate and alarm acknowledgement time; report metrics in shift summary reports.
Candidate Requirements
- Education
B.E./B.Tech in ECE, IT or Telecom from a recognised university; ITIL Foundation or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Experience
3-8 years in NOC roles with at least 1 year in a shift lead or team leader capacity at a telecom operator or ISP.
- Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of NMS/EMS platforms, network alarm management, ITIL incident processes and telecom network fundamentals.
- Shift Availability
Must be available for rotational shift work including nights and weekends; leadership calm under pressure is essential.
