About the VoIP / Unified Communications Engineer Role
Telecom and enterprise solution providers in Firozabad are hiring VoIP and Unified Communications Engineers to design, deploy and support cloud telephony, SIP trunking, IVR systems and UC collaboration platforms.
Candidates with experience in SIP protocol, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Cisco CUCM, WebRTC or cloud telephony platforms and a good understanding of QoS for voice networks are preferred for these growing roles.
Key Responsibilities
- VoIP Platform Administration
Configure and maintain VoIP platforms including Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Cisco CUCM or cloud PBX systems for enterprise and carrier customers.
- SIP Trunk Provisioning
Provision and manage SIP trunks between PBX systems, softswitches and PSTN gateways; perform signalling troubleshooting using SIP traces.
- IVR & Call Flow Design
Design and implement IVR call flows, auto-attendants, call queues and hunt groups for enterprise and contact centre customers in Firozabad.
- Voice Quality Management
Monitor and optimise voice quality using MOS scores and RTCP analytics; tune QoS policies on the network to prioritise voice traffic.
- UC Platform Support
Support Unified Communications platforms including Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, Cisco Webex or Zoom Phone integrations for enterprise clients.
Candidate Requirements
- Education
B.E./B.Tech in ECE or CSE from a recognised university; vendor certifications in Cisco CCNP Collaboration or Avaya are an advantage.
- Experience
2-8 years in VoIP or unified communications engineering at a telecom company, IT integrator or managed services provider.
- Technical Skills
Proficiency in SIP, RTP, H.323, SRTP protocols; hands-on with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH or Cisco CUCM; QoS and network troubleshooting.
- UC Knowledge
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, cloud PBX platforms, WebRTC and enterprise UC deployment methodologies.
