About the Tower Inspection Engineer Role
Tower company andTelecom Company in Firozabad are hiring Tower Inspection Engineers to conduct periodic structural, safety and equipment audits of GBT, RTT and rooftop telecom sites across the city.
Candidates with experience in telecom tower or civil structural inspections, knowledge of safety regulations for tower climbing and ability to prepare detailed audit reports are preferred. Height-work fitness is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Structural Inspections
Conduct periodic structural inspections of GBT, RTT, monopole and rooftop telecom sites in Firozabad; assess foundation, legs, braces and anchor points.
- Safety Audits
Perform safety audits at telecom sites including fall-arrest systems, climbing equipment, earthing, lightning protection and fire safety compliance.
- Equipment Condition Assessment
Inspect BTS, antenna, feeder cables, power systems and shelter equipment conditions; photograph and document deficiencies found during visits.
- Audit Report Preparation
Prepare detailed site inspection reports with photographic evidence, risk ratings and recommended corrective actions for each deficiency found.
- Deficiency Follow-Up
Track resolution of reported deficiencies by contractors; conduct re-inspection visits to verify rectification and close audit observations.
Candidate Requirements
- Education
Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or ECE; training in tower climbing safety (Work at Height certification) is mandatory.
- Experience
2-7 years in telecom tower inspection, civil structural auditing or tower maintenance supervision at a tower company or telecom operator.
- Technical Knowledge
Knowledge of telecom tower types, structural loads, grounding and earthing standards, feeder management and tower safety regulations.
- Physical Fitness
Must be physically fit to climb towers up to 120 metres; must hold or be willing to obtain Work at Height and Tower Climbing certification.
