About the Personal Loan Officer / Credit Officer Role
Personal Loan Officer / Credit Officer is a credit assessment role where you review applications, analyze customer financials and decide on loan approval within your authority.
You ensure that loans are given to the right customers while maintaining portfolio quality and policy compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Application Scrutiny
Check completeness of personal loan files, verify KYC, income proofs, bank statements and other documents.

Credit Assessment
Analyze income, obligations, bureau report and banking to determine eligibility, FOIR and recommended loan amount.

Decision Making
Approve or recommend decline / modification of cases within delegation and record clear credit notes in the system.

Coordination with Sales & Ops
Work with sales executives and operations to clarify queries, resolve pending points and ensure quick TAT.

Risk & Compliance
Follow internal credit policy, regulatory guidelines, detect possible fraud / high‑risk cases and escalate when required.
Candidate Requirements

Education
Graduate / Postgraduate; commerce / finance background preferred.

Experience
2–5 years in credit underwriting / loan officer role in NBFC or bank, preferably in personal loans.

Skills
Strong analytical ability, understanding of financial statements, attention to detail and decision‑making skills.

Other Requirements
Knowledge of local market, comfort with core banking / loan systems and readiness to work with tight timelines.
