About the Network Planning Engineer – 5G Role

Telecom Company in Firozabad hiring Network Planning Engineer to design 5G NR radio access network configurations, plan cell sites and coordinate with civil and transmission teams for end-to-end 5G deployment.

Candidates with experience in 5G NR RAN planning tools (Atoll, Planet EV, Asset 3G), coverage modelling, link budget calculations and knowledge of 5G standalone/non-standalone architectures are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • 5G RAN Planning

    Plan 5G NR cell sites across Firozabad using RF planning tools; perform coverage and capacity modelling to meet 5G rollout targets.

  • Link Budget & Coverage Design

    Prepare 5G link budgets, indoor coverage designs and small cell placement plans for dense urban areas of Firozabad.

  • Frequency & Spectrum Planning

    Plan 5G spectrum utilisation across assigned frequency bands (700 MHz, 3.5 GHz, mmWave); coordinate inter-site interference mitigation.

  • Rollout Coordination

    Coordinate with civil teams, transmission planners and vendors for 5G site preparation, equipment delivery and commissioning.

  • Planning Reporting

    Prepare 5G network planning reports, coverage prediction maps and milestone dashboards for senior management and project teams.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education

    B.E./B.Tech in ECE or Telecom from a recognised university; post-graduation in Wireless or RF engineering is an advantage.

  • Experience

    3-9 years in RAN planning covering 4G or 5G networks at a telecom operator, managed services company or tower planning firm.

  • Planning Tools

    Proficiency in RF planning tools such as Atoll, Planet EV or Asset 3G; knowledge of 5G NR air interface standards (3GPP Release 15/16).

  • Technical Knowledge

    Strong understanding of 5G NR architecture (SA/NSA), beamforming, massive MIMO and heterogeneous network design for urban deployments.
