Jewellery Grader / Diamond Grader is a specialised quality‑control role responsible for examining diamonds and gemstones and grading them based on standard parameters like cut, colour, clarity and carat weight.

You work with loupes, microscopes and other gemological tools, prepare grading reports and support showrooms or manufacturers with accurate, reliable quality assessments.

• Diamond / Gemstone Examination

  Examine loose and mounted stones using loupe, microscope and other tools to assess overall appearance, brilliance and presence of inclusions or blemishes.

• Grading on 4Cs and Other Parameters

  Grade stones on cut, colour, clarity and carat weight and record additional factors such as fluorescence, symmetry and polish as per company standards.

• Identification & Treatment Detection

  Identify natural, treated, lab‑grown and imitation stones and detect common treatments like HPHT, CVD, irradiation or fracture filling wherever applicable.

• Grading Reports & Documentation

  Prepare clear grading notes or reports, update internal systems with stone details and ensure records are accurate, consistent and easy to trace.

• Quality Control & Standards

  Follow internal and international grading standards, participate in cross‑checks or peer reviews and help maintain high consistency and integrity in grading.

• Coordination with Production & Sales

  Coordinate with production, inventory and sales teams to prioritise grading, clarify stone details and support pricing, certification and dispatch planning.

• Education

  Graduate or 12th Pass with recognised Diamond Grading or Gemology course from institutes like GIA, IGI or reputed Indian gem institutes.

• Experience

  1–5 years of experience as diamond grader, jewellery grader or gemologist in labs, jewellery brands, export houses or manufacturers.

• Skills

  Strong observation skills, steady hand‑eye coordination, comfort with microscopes and grading tools, numerical accuracy and good report writing skills.

• Other Requirements

  High integrity and ethics, ability to focus for long periods on detailed work, readiness to follow lab and security protocols and willingness to work from Firozabad or nearby industrial clusters.
