About the Jewellery Appraiser / Valuer Role
Jewellery Appraiser / Valuer is a specialised role that involves examining gold, diamond and gemstone jewellery to check authenticity, purity, quality and market value.
You support buying, exchange, loan, insurance and estate‑related decisions by issuing accurate valuation notes or reports that the showroom and customers can rely on.
Key Responsibilities

Jewellery Inspection & Testing
Inspect jewellery items visually and using tools to check design, workmanship, wear and any visible damage or alteration.

Gold Purity & Weight Assessment
Check hallmark or purity marks, use standard testing methods as per company policy and record accurate net weight after excluding stones, dust or wax.

Diamond & Gemstone Evaluation
Evaluate diamonds and gemstones on key parameters like cut, colour, clarity and carat, identify obvious treatments and note quality level for valuation.

Valuation & Rate Application
Apply approved daily rates, wastage or value factors and company policies to arrive at buying, exchange or insurance value for each item.

Report Writing & Documentation
Prepare simple valuation slips or detailed appraisal reports with description, photos if required and clear value break‑up for internal records and customers.

Risk Control & Fraud Prevention
Alert management about suspicious or non‑standard items, follow all checks to avoid fraud or loss and maintain strict confidentiality of valuations.
Candidate Requirements

Education
Graduate or 12th Pass with jewellery / gold appraiser, gemology or diamond grading course from a recognised institute preferred.

Experience
3–8 years of experience as jewellery appraiser, gold appraiser, valuer or related QC role in jewellery, pawnbroking, NBFC gold loan or gem lab.

Skills
Very strong attention to detail, good knowledge of gold purity, hallmark rules and basic diamond or gemstone quality with clear and honest communication.

High integrity and trustworthiness, willingness to follow strict procedures and security protocols and readiness to work from Firozabad with full‑time availability.
