Gold Appraiser is a key technical role where you check the purity and weight of customer gold ornaments using standard methods and tools.

You help protect both company and customer by giving correct valuation and ensuring only genuine gold is accepted for loan.

• Purity Testing

  Test gold using touchstone, acid test and karat meter as per company procedures and safety norms.

• Weight & Valuation

  Weigh ornaments accurately, apply applicable rate and LTV policy and calculate maximum eligible loan amount.

• Documentation & Tagging

  Prepare appraisal sheet, tag each packet correctly and ensure details match system entry and customer application.

• Security & Storage

  Ensure ornaments are kept in safe / vault as per dual custody and security norms and support audits.

• Market Knowledge

  Keep track of gold price trends, common fraud methods and update branch manager on any suspicious cases.

• Education

  12th Pass / Graduate. Jewellery / gold appraisal course or prior jewellery shop experience is an added advantage.

• Experience

  1–5 years as Gold Appraiser / Jeweller / Goldsmith or in gold loan NBFC.

• Skills

  Strong knowledge of gold karats, ornaments, purity testing and careful working style.

• Other Requirements

  High integrity, trustworthiness and willingness to follow company process strictly.
