About the Data Centre Network Engineer Role
Telecom and co-location data centres in Firozabad are hiring Data Centre Network Engineers to design, implement and maintain the LAN/SAN fabric, spine-leaf architectures and virtualised network overlays powering carrier-grade data centres.
Candidates with hands-on experience in Cisco Nexus, ACI, VMware NSX or Arista networks, data centre fabric design and experience in carrier-grade or enterprise data centre environments are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- DC Network Design & Implementation
Design and deploy spine-leaf data centre network fabrics using Cisco Nexus or Arista switches for telecom operator data centres in Firozabad.
- Virtualisation & SDN
Configure and manage VMware NSX-T or Cisco ACI overlays for network virtualisation, micro-segmentation and automated workload connectivity.
- LAN/SAN Fabric Management
Manage Ethernet switching fabric and Fibre Channel SAN infrastructure for compute and storage connectivity in the data centre.
- Network Performance & Monitoring
Monitor data centre network performance including latency, packet loss and bandwidth utilisation; investigate and resolve performance issues.
- Capacity Planning & Upgrades
Plan and execute data centre network upgrades to support growing cloud, CDN and telecom workloads hosted in Firozabad facilities.
Candidate Requirements
- Education
B.E./B.Tech in CSE or ECE from a recognised university; CCNP Data Centre, CCIE DC or VMware VCP-NV certification is preferred.
- Experience
3-9 years in data centre networking at a telecom operator, co-location provider or cloud services company in Firozabad or other metros.
- Technical Skills
Proficiency in Cisco Nexus/ACI, Arista EOS, VXLAN, BGP EVPN, VMware NSX-T, SAN (FC/FCoE) and data centre cabling standards.
- Automation
Knowledge of Ansible, Python or Terraform for network automation and infrastructure-as-code in data centre environments is an advantage.
