About the Area Manager – Telecom Operations Role
Hiring Area Manager for Operations to a telecom company in Firozabad to manage independently all field service, installation and network maintenance activities across a defined Firozabad area or district.
Candidates with 6+ years in telecom operations management with experience in leading large field teams, managing multiple vendors and ensuring consistently high service quality in Firozabad or Uttar Pradesh are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Area Operations Management
Independently manage all telecom service operations including installation, maintenance, fault management and FTTH rollout in the assigned Firozabad area.
- Multi-Team Leadership
Lead a team of Sector Heads, Field Engineers, Technicians and support staff; conduct weekly reviews and performance management for all direct reports.
- SLA & Quality Management
Define and track SLA targets for all service categories; conduct root cause analysis for repeat failures and drive improvement initiatives.
- Vendor & Contract Management
Negotiate and manage contracts with field contractors, AMC vendors and OEM support teams; ensure compliance with agreed service standards.
- Budget & Cost Control
Manage the operational budget for the area; identify cost-saving opportunities in field operations without compromising service quality.
Candidate Requirements
- Education
B.E./B.Tech in ECE or EEE from a recognised university; MBA in Operations Management is strongly preferred for Area Manager roles.
- Experience
6-12 years in telecom field operations or service management with at least 3 years in an area or cluster management role.
- Leadership
Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to lead and coordinate a large, geographically distributed field operations team.
- Business Acumen
Understanding of telecom P&L, operational costs, SLA frameworks and service quality metrics relevant to ISP and telecom operations.
