Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Testing

    Plan and execute RF drive tests across Thoothukudi using TEMS, Nemo Walk or equivalent tools to measure network coverage and quality benchmarks.

  • KPI Analysis & Optimisation

    Analyse 4G/5G network KPIs including RSRP, SINR, throughput and call drop rate; identify root causes and implement RF parameter changes.

  • Coverage Gap Resolution

    Identify coverage holes, interference zones and high-interference areas in Thoothukudi; propose and implement solutions such as tilt/power adjustments.

  • Capacity Planning Support

    Analyse traffic load and capacity utilisation per cell; recommend capacity enhancement measures for congested areas in the Thoothukudi network.

  • Reporting

    Prepare weekly and monthly RF optimisation performance reports; present findings and recommendations to the network planning team.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education

    B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from a recognised university in Tamil Nadu or elsewhere.

  • Experience

    2-8 years in RF planning or optimisation roles at a telecom operator, managed services company or network planning firm.

  • Tools Proficiency

    Hands-on experience with drive test tools (TEMS, Nemo Walk), post-processing software (ACTIX, Atoll) and MapInfo for coverage analysis.

  • Technology Knowledge

    Good knowledge of 4G LTE and 5G NR air interface, RF propagation, antenna theory and inter-frequency/inter-RAT handover procedures.
