Role Overview
This role is meant for candidates who want to build a field sales career in the pharmaceutical industry and interact regularly with doctors and chemists. You will represent the pharma company in your assigned Salem territory, promote key brands, and support prescription and secondary sales growth.
The position is field-based with daily doctor calls, pharmacy visits, and periodic meetings with the reporting manager to review plans and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and complete daily visits to doctors, clinics, and hospitals within the allocated territory.
- Detail assigned products, share brand benefits, and answer basic questions using approved visual aids and literature.
- Visit pharmacies to check product availability, ensure visibility, and collect basic market feedback.
- Execute company strategies such as campaigns, sampling, and small promotional activities as instructed.
- Maintain call records, tour plans, and simple reports to track coverage and follow-up actions.
- Monitor competitor brands in the market and share timely inputs with the reporting manager.
Experience and Profile
- Field sales or previous pharma exposure is an advantage, motivated freshers from science or non-science backgrounds can also be considered.
- Comfortable travelling within city limits, meeting multiple doctors and chemists in a day.
- Basic ability to explain product points clearly and build professional relationships over time.
- Willingness to work in a target-driven environment and attend morning or evening meetings as scheduled.
