Role Overview
This role is ideal for ITI-qualified electricians who want to work in a company environment handling plant and building electrical maintenance. You will support day-to-day electrical activities, attend breakdown calls, and help keep equipment and utilities running safely.
The position is based in Salem and involves work across panels, distribution boards, machines, and common facility areas under the guidance of senior technicians or engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of electrical panels, wiring, and distribution boards.
- Attend equipment breakdown complaints and support quick fault finding and basic repair work.
- Assist in installation of new electrical points, cable routing, and connection of machinery or utilities.
- Check earthing, lighting, and common power points in shop floor, office, and utility areas regularly.
- Follow safety procedures while working on live panels and lockout-tagout instructions shared by supervisors.
- Update basic maintenance logs and inform the team about repeated issues or parts required.
Experience and Profile
- Hands-on exposure to industrial, commercial, or building electrical maintenance is an advantage.
- Comfortable using basic electrical tools, multimeter, and test lamps for routine checks.
- Ability to follow instructions from engineers or supervisors and work in shifts if required by the company.
- Ready to work at the Salem company location and support occasional overtime during urgent work.
