Role Overview
This role is suitable for candidates who want to work as Injection Molding Operators in plastic manufacturing companies around Salem. You will operate injection molding machines, load raw materials, and check parts to ensure that components produced meet basic quality standards.
The position is plant-based and involves working in shifts on shop floor molding machines under the guidance of production supervisors or engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Start and stop injection molding machines as per shift instructions and follow standard operating procedures.
- Load plastic granules or raw material into hoppers and ensure material flow is proper during production.
- Monitor machine cycle, remove molded components, and do visual checks for basic defects such as short shot, flash, or colour variation.
- Place good parts in designated bins, separate clear rejections, and keep work area clean and organised.
- Inform setters or supervisors about repeated defects, machine alarms, or abnormal sounds immediately.
- Update simple production logs with part name, cavity OK, total quantity produced, and daily rejection details.
Experience and Profile
- Experience as an injection molding operator, helper, or plastic machine operator is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in factory environment with 8-hour rotational shifts as per company policy.
- Basic understanding of plastic parts, moulds, and safe handling of hot components around machines.
- Ready to work at injection molding units in and around Salem industrial areas.
