As a biology teacher in Matriculation school, you will explain botany and zoology topics in simple language, connect lessons with real life examples and help students score well in Matric board exams.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach biology lessons for classes 9 to 12 as per Matriculation school syllabus and academic plan.
- Prepare lesson plans, class notes, diagrams and question papers suitable for Matriculation biology students.
- Conduct biology practical classes in the lab, guide students in experiments and maintain lab records and equipment.
- Give class tests, revision tests and model exams to improve student performance in Matriculation board exams.
- Use charts, models and board work to explain important definitions, diagrams and long answers step by step.
- Maintain class discipline, monitor notebooks and assignments and share progress with parents when required.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Botany, Zoology or Biology with B.Ed, preferably with Matriculation school teaching experience.
- Good understanding of Tamil Nadu Matriculation biology syllabus and exam question pattern.
- Ability to explain biology concepts clearly in English and local language so that Matriculation students can understand easily.
- Interest in guiding students, correcting answer papers and preparing them for both school exams and public exams.
