This opening is for biology teacher jobs in Salem for CBSE school. The biology teacher will handle biology classes for middle school, high school and senior secondary students following the CBSE syllabus.
As a biology teacher in CBSE school, you will teach NCERT based topics in botany and zoology, plan engaging lessons and help students perform well in school tests, CBSE board exams and entrance exams.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach biology for classes 6 to 12 as per CBSE curriculum and school academic plan.
- Prepare unit plans, lesson plans, worksheets and question papers aligned with CBSE biology syllabus.
- Conduct biology practical sessions in the laboratory, guide students in experiments and ensure proper maintenance of lab records.
- Assess student performance through class tests, periodic tests, term exams and pre board exams.
- Use diagrams, models, charts and digital tools to explain biology concepts, diagrams and long answers clearly.
- Provide extra support for CBSE board exam and competitive exam preparation wherever required.
- Maintain classroom discipline, monitor notebooks and assignments and share feedback with parents during PTMs.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Biology, Botany, Zoology or Life Sciences with B.Ed as per CBSE norms.
- Experience as TGT or PGT Biology teacher in CBSE school in Salem or other cities will be an added advantage.
- Strong subject knowledge in CBSE biology syllabus and ability to simplify concepts for different student levels.
- Good communication skills, classroom management and interest in guiding students for both academics and career goals.
