We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Manager to join our retail banking team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will support branch operations, drive business growth, and deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Branch Manager in daily operations including customer service delivery, staff supervision, and achievement of business targets
Manage customer relationships and resolve escalated queries and complaints in a timely manner
Drive sales of banking products including deposits, loans, credit cards, and insurance through cross-selling and upselling initiatives
Monitor and ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, internal policies, and banking procedures
Supervise and mentor junior staff members, conduct performance reviews, and identify training needs
Oversee cash management, vault operations, and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy
Review and process loan applications, credit assessments, and documentation within delegated authority
Coordinate with internal departments for smooth operations and customer service excellence
Prepare reports on branch performance, customer feedback, and market trends for senior management
Required Qualifications
Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any discipline (MBA/PGDBA in Finance preferred)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in retail banking operations, preferably in branch banking
Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships
Excellent communication skills in English, Tamil, and Hindi
Proficiency in MS Office and core banking systems
