About the Store Keeper / Store Incharge Role
Hiring Store Keepers / Store Incharge in Chennai to manage inward and outward of materials, maintain stock records and keep the store and warehouse area organised.
The role supports production, purchase and sales teams by ensuring required materials are available in time and inventory records are accurate.
Key Responsibilities

Material Inward & Verification
Receive incoming materials, check quantity and basic quality against purchase orders and delivery challans and record receipts in register or software with proper documentation.

Stock Storage & Arrangement
Store items in proper racks or locations with labels, follow FIFO where needed and keep the store area neat, safe and easy to access for issue and counting.

Material Issue & Records
Issue materials to production or departments against proper slips or indent, update stock cards or system immediately and avoid stock going out without entry.

Inventory Tracking & Reports
Monitor stock levels, inform purchase or management about re-order requirements, assist in monthly and annual stock taking and prepare basic stock and movement reports.

Coordination & Safety
Coordinate with purchase, accounts and production for material related issues, follow basic safety rules in storage and handle damaged or excess materials as per company procedure.
Candidate Requirements

Education
+2 / any degree or diploma; store keeping, logistics or warehouse management course will be useful for senior store incharge roles.

Experience
1–6 years experience as store keeper, store assistant or warehouse incharge in factory, warehouse, engineering, construction or trading company.

Skills
Basic computer or ERP entry skills, ability to maintain records neatly, understanding of stock control and willingness to do physical stock handling when required.

Others
Honest and responsible in handling materials, physically fit to move around store area and ready to work in company timings with occasional overtime during stock taking.
