About the Computer Teacher Role
Hiring Computer Teachers to a school in Chennai to teach computer science and ICT subjects for primary, middle and high school classes as per the prescribed curriculum.
Teachers will handle theory and practical sessions in the computer lab, prepare lesson plans and ensure students develop confidence in using computers and basic programming concepts.
Key Responsibilities

Lesson Planning & Delivery
Prepare lesson plans as per school syllabus, explain concepts in an age-appropriate way and conduct interactive classroom sessions using board and projector wherever available.

Lab Practicals & Projects
Conduct practical classes in the computer lab, give step-by-step demonstrations, assign small projects and ensure each student gets hands-on practice during lab periods.

Student Assessment & Progress
Prepare question papers and assignments, conduct tests and examinations, evaluate answer scripts and maintain records of student marks, performance and progress in the subject.

Classroom Management & Discipline
Maintain discipline and safety in the computer lab, guide students in proper usage of systems and handle classroom behaviour in line with school rules and policies.

Coordination with School & Parents
Participate in staff meetings, PTMs and school events, share feedback on student performance with parents and coordinate with other subject teachers and academic coordinators when needed.
Candidate Requirements

Education
B.Ed with BCA / B.Sc Computer Science / B.E (CSE / IT) or equivalent; for some schools BCA / B.Sc Computer without B.Ed may be considered for middle school levels.

Experience
1–8 years experience as computer teacher in CBSE / Matric / ICSE schools or reputed tuition centres; strong subject knowledge and interest in working with school children.

Skills
Good English communication, clear explanation skills, basic programming or coding knowledge as per class level and ability to handle classroom and lab sessions independently.

Others
Ready to follow school timings, special classes and exam duties and willing to participate in school events, competitions and training programmes related to IT and computers.
