Computer Operator Jobs in Chennai – Retail Showroom

Hiring Computer Operators in Chennai retail showrooms to handle customer billing, stock entry, data entry and daily reports using billing or POS software and MS Excel.

The role supports sales and store operations by ensuring accurate bills, updated inventory and proper maintenance of customer and sales records in the system.

• Customer Billing

  Generate bills and invoices for customers using showroom billing or POS software, apply discounts as per instructions and ensure correct quantities, prices and taxes are entered.

• Stock & Data Entry

  Enter new stock items, update sales and returns in the system, maintain item-wise and size / colour wise details and help keep inventory records accurate for the showroom.

• Daily Reports & Cash Support

  Prepare daily sales and item-wise reports, support cashier or manager in tallying cash and card transactions and share closing stock or sales summary at the end of the day or shift.

• Coordination with Sales Team

  Coordinate with floor sales staff to check item availability, update hold or cancelled bills and help them quickly retrieve product details, prices and offers from the system when needed.

• System & File Maintenance

  Maintain basic order in system files and Excel sheets, back up important reports as instructed and inform management or IT support in case of software or printer issues.

• Education

  Any degree, diploma or +2 pass with good computer knowledge; basic understanding of accounts or commerce will be useful for billing-related work.

• Experience

  0–5 years experience as computer operator, billing staff or data entry operator in retail showroom, supermarket, textile or electronics store; freshers with good skills can also apply.

• Skills

  Good typing speed, basic MS Excel and email usage, familiarity with billing or POS software, attention to numbers and ability to work accurately during peak customer hours.

• Others

  Ready to work in showroom timings, including weekends and festival seasons, and coordinate closely with sales and accounts team inside the retail outlet.
