About the Compliance Officer Role
Hiring experienced Compliance Officer to a corporate company in Chennai companies and corporates to ensure that business operations follow applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
The role includes monitoring regulatory changes, updating policies, coordinating with management and departments and supporting audits and risk mitigation activities.
Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Monitoring & Policy Updates
Track changes in company law, SEBI / RBI guidelines and other regulations relevant to the business and update internal policies, SOPs and code of conduct accordingly.

Compliance Framework & Controls
Implement and maintain compliance programmes, checklists and control mechanisms across departments to reduce regulatory and operational risks.

Audits, Reviews & Reporting
Conduct internal compliance reviews and sample checks, support statutory and internal audits and prepare compliance reports and dashboards for management and board review.

Advisory & Issue Resolution
Advise business and support teams on regulatory requirements, review documents and processes and help resolve compliance issues and incidents in coordination with legal and HR.

Training & Awareness
Conduct training and awareness sessions for employees on compliance, ethics and company policies and promote a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.
Candidate Requirements

Education
Any graduate with specialisation in commerce, law or finance; CS, LLB or MBA in finance / risk / compliance preferred for senior roles in large companies.

Experience
3–10 years experience in compliance, risk, audit or legal functions in corporate, NBFC, bank or listed company; exposure to dealing with regulators will be an advantage.

Skills
Strong understanding of relevant regulations, good analytical and documentation skills, attention to detail and ability to coordinate with multiple departments and senior management.
