Collection Executive Jobs in Chennai

Hiring Collection Executives in Chennai for banks and NBFCs to follow up customers on overdue EMIs, credit card bills and personal loans and ensure timely collections.

The role involves tele-calling and field visits, updating collection status in systems and following collection practices as per RBI guidelines and company policy.

• Customer Follow-Up

  Call customers with overdue EMIs or card dues, remind them about pending payments, explain outstanding amount and due dates and seek commitment for payment within agreed timelines.

• Field Visits

  Visit customer residence or office for follow-up when required, collect payments wherever allowed as per company policy and hand over receipts or deposit instructions properly.

• Negotiation & Payment Plans

  Discuss basic settlement or part payment options within given authority, reschedule or instalment plans as guided by seniors and record customer commitments clearly in the system.

• Documentation & Reporting

  Update call and visit remarks in collection software, maintain collection MIS, track broken promises and highlight chronic defaulters or skip cases to team leader or manager on time.

• Compliance & Conduct

  Follow RBI and company guidelines for fair collection practices, avoid abusive language or harassment, maintain professionalism and protect customer data confidentiality at all times.

• Education

  Any degree or +2; graduates with basic knowledge of banking or loans preferred for some portfolios.

• Experience

  0–5 years experience in collections, recovery, tele-calling or field sales; freshers interested in bank or NBFC collection jobs can also apply for trainee roles.

• Skills

  Good communication in Tamil and basic English, convincing and negotiation skills, ability to handle tough customer conversations and basic smartphone / app usage for field updates.

• Others

  Two-wheeler with valid driving licence preferred for field collection roles, willingness to travel within allocated area in Chennai and work with monthly and daily collection targets.
