About the Chemistry Teacher Role (CBSE)
Hiring experienced Chemistry Teachers in Chennai CBSE schools to handle chemistry for middle school and higher secondary classes as per CBSE curriculum.
Teachers will be responsible for planning lessons, teaching theory and practicals, preparing students for board exams and maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities

Subject Teaching – Theory
Teach chemistry topics as per CBSE syllabus for assigned classes (VI–X, XI–XII or both), explain concepts clearly with examples and ensure coverage of entire annual curriculum on time.

Practical Classes & Lab Safety
Plan and conduct chemistry practical sessions, demonstrate experiments, guide students in the lab and ensure strict adherence to safety norms and proper handling of chemicals and equipment.

Lesson Planning & Assessments
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, question papers and assignments, conduct tests and examinations and evaluate answer scripts fairly with timely feedback to students and parents when required.

Student Support & Mentoring
Identify students who need extra help, provide doubt-clearing sessions, guide board exam batches with revision plans and support overall academic and discipline standards of the school.

School Activities & Coordination
Participate in staff meetings, parent–teacher meetings, science exhibitions and training programmes and coordinate with other subject teachers and academic coordinators for smooth functioning.
Candidate Requirements

Education
M.Sc Chemistry with B.Ed for PGT roles; B.Sc / M.Sc Chemistry with B.Ed for TGT roles as per CBSE norms, good academic record preferred.

Experience
2–8 years teaching experience in CBSE schools handling chemistry for middle school or higher secondary classes; freshers with strong subject knowledge may be considered for junior roles in some schools.

Skills
Strong command over chemistry, fluent English communication, classroom management skills, ability to use smart boards or digital tools and interest in activity-based and exam-oriented teaching.
