About the Business Development Manager Role
Hiring Business Development Manager in Chennai for corporate companies to drive B2B sales, open new accounts and grow revenue from existing clients.
The manager will create sales plans, lead a small sales team or individual contributors, meet senior client stakeholders and work closely with internal teams for solution proposals.
Key Responsibilities

New Client Acquisition
Identify and target potential corporate customers, generate qualified leads, set meetings and convert them into long-term clients.

Key Account Management
Manage relationships with key accounts, understand their business needs and identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell.

Strategy and Planning
Prepare territory or segment-wise sales plans, set monthly and quarterly targets and track performance against goals.

Proposal and Negotiation
Coordinate with presales and operations to prepare proposals and presentations, negotiate commercials and close deals within timelines.

Team and Reporting
Guide junior sales team members where applicable, maintain CRM data, share regular sales forecasts and market feedback with management.
Candidate Requirements

Education
Any graduate; MBA in Marketing, Sales or related field preferred.

Experience
4–10 years experience in B2B sales or business development with proven track record of meeting revenue targets.

Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills, negotiation ability, networking, basic CRM usage and good market understanding.

Location
Ready for regular client meetings and field work in Chennai and nearby cities and to travel as required for corporate visits.
