About the Professor Role
Hiring Professor in Biochemistry for medical and arts & science colleges in Chennai to provide academic leadership, advanced teaching and research guidance in the department.
The professor will lead curriculum development, supervise PG and Ph.D scholars, support institutional research goals and coordinate with management and regulators for academic quality.
Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership
Provide academic leadership to the biochemistry department, plan teaching schedules, allocate workload and ensure syllabus coverage with high standards.

Teaching & Supervision
Handle selected UG/PG theory and practical classes, supervise PG dissertations and guide Ph.D scholars and junior faculty in research and teaching methods.

Research & Funding
Initiate and lead research projects in biochemistry, apply for research grants, publish in reputed journals and represent the institution in conferences and forums.

Department & Institutional Roles
Coordinate departmental meetings, contribute to IQAC, accreditation and inspection work and support institutional policies and strategic plans in academics and research.

Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with university, NMC/UGC and regulatory norms in teaching, exams, records and departmental infrastructure and documentation.
Candidate Requirements

Qualification
M.D / Ph.D in Biochemistry with eligibility as per NMC / UGC / university norms for Professor / HOD in Biochemistry.

Experience
8–18 years teaching experience in biochemistry (including required years as Associate Professor) with evidence of research and academic contributions.

Skills
Excellent subject command, strong research profile, leadership ability, communication skills and interest in mentoring faculty and students.

Other Requirements
Experience in handling inspections, accreditations and university work; willingness to take active role in institutional development and collaborations.
