About the Associate Professor Role
Hiring Associate Professor in Biochemistry for medical and arts & science colleges in Chennai to lead advanced teaching, research and academic activities in the department.
The faculty member will take responsibility for PG teaching, guide junior faculty and students, coordinate research projects and support the Head of Department in academic planning and administration.
Key Responsibilities

UG & PG Teaching
Deliver lectures and practical sessions in biochemistry for undergraduate and postgraduate students, ensuring clarity, clinical relevance and updated content.

Research & Publications
Plan and lead departmental research projects, guide PG dissertations and publish findings in indexed journals and present in conferences as per institutional goals.

Student Guidance
Mentor UG and PG students in academics, research methods and career planning, and support them in project work and exam preparation.

Departmental Coordination
Assist the HOD in curriculum planning, timetable preparation, lab management and coordination with other departments for integrated teaching programs.

Academic Administration
Participate in university/college committees, inspections and accreditation work, and ensure compliance with regulatory and university norms.
Candidate Requirements

Qualification
M.D / Ph.D in Biochemistry with eligibility and experience as per NMC / UGC / university norms for Associate Professor in Biochemistry.

Experience
5–12 years total teaching experience in biochemistry (including required years as Assistant Professor) in recognised medical / allied / science colleges.

Skills
Strong subject expertise, proven research and publication record, good leadership, communication skills and ability to guide PG students and junior faculty.

Familiar with regulatory norms, examination systems and accreditation processes; willing to contribute to departmental development and institutional growth.
