About the Assistant Professor Role
Hiring Assistant Professor in Biochemistry for medical and arts & science colleges in Chennai to teach theory and practical classes for UG/PG students and support departmental activities.
The faculty member will handle classroom teaching, practical demonstrations, exam work, research guidance and student mentoring under the guidance of the Head of Department.
Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Practicals
Conduct lectures, tutorials and practical sessions in biochemistry as per university syllabus and timetable, using appropriate teaching aids and methods.

Student Assessment
Prepare question papers, evaluate answer scripts, conduct internal assessments, viva and practical exams and maintain student performance records.

Research & Publications
Participate in departmental research projects, guide student research work and contribute to publications, conferences and academic activities where required.

Academic Administration
Assist in preparing lesson plans, lab manuals and departmental reports; support accreditation, inspections and other academic quality processes.

Mentoring & Discipline
Act as mentor for assigned students, provide academic guidance, maintain classroom discipline and contribute to overall student development.
Candidate Requirements

Qualification
M.Sc / M.D / Ph.D in Biochemistry as per university / NMC / UGC norms; candidates meeting eligibility for Assistant Professor post only will be considered.

Experience
1–5 years teaching experience in biochemistry in recognised institutions; fresh Ph.D holders with good academic record may also apply as per norms.

Skills
Strong subject knowledge, good presentation and communication skills, interest in research and ability to handle both theory and practical classes independently.

Other Requirements
Familiarity with university examination procedures, basic computer skills for PPT and online teaching, willingness to participate in college committees and events.
