About the Bartender Role
Hiring Bartender in Chennai for popular bars, pubs and lounges to welcome guests, take drink orders, mix cocktails and serve beverages with good presentation.
The bartender will maintain the bar counter, follow standard recipes, check IDs when required and create a friendly atmosphere for regular and new guests.
Key Responsibilities

Drink Preparation & Service
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as per standard recipes, ensure correct measurement, taste and garnishing for each drink.

Guest Interaction
Greet guests warmly, take orders, suggest cocktails or mocktails based on preference and maintain positive, professional interaction at the bar counter.

Bar Hygiene & Setup
Keep the bar top, back bar, glassware and tools clean and organised, restock ice, garnishes and supplies before and during service.

Billing & Cash Handling
Use POS system to punch orders, manage tabs, process cash / card payments accurately and hand over bills to guests promptly after service.

Compliance & Safety
Follow age-verification rules, avoid over-serving guests, adhere to bar and liquor license policies and report any issues to the bar manager or duty manager.
Candidate Requirements

Experience
1–6 years experience as bartender / bar steward in bar, pub, lounge or hotel; knowledge of basic and classic cocktails is required.

Skills
Good speed and accuracy in mixing drinks, strong customer service attitude, ability to handle rush hours and late-night shifts.

Education
Hotel management / bartending course preferred, but experienced bartenders without formal qualification can also apply.

Shifts & Language
Comfortable working evenings, nights, weekends and festive days; basic English with local language for guest communication.
