About the Bar Manager Role
Hiring Bar Manager in Chennai for busy pub to take complete ownership of bar operations, staff supervision and guest satisfaction.
The bar manager will lead bartenders and service staff, control beverage inventory, ensure quality drinks and maintain a safe, energetic and profitable bar environment every day.
Key Responsibilities

Bar Operations & Guest Experience
Oversee day-to-day bar operations, ensure quick and friendly service, handle guest feedback and maintain a lively and safe ambience during peak hours.

Staff Management
Schedule and supervise bartenders, bar backs and service staff, conduct briefings, train new team members and monitor performance on the floor.

Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor stock levels of liquor, beer, wine and mixers, place orders with suppliers, control wastage and maintain beverage cost within budget targets.

Menu & Revenue Growth
Work with management and bartenders to design bar menus, introduce new cocktails and promotions and track daily sales to improve revenue.

Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to liquor license rules, age verification, hygiene standards and health and safety guidelines inside the bar and storage areas.
Candidate Requirements

Experience
3–8 years experience in bar operations, including at least 2 years as bar supervisor / assistant bar manager / bar manager in pub, lounge or hotel bar.

Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of spirits, beers, wines and cocktails, people management skills, ability to handle rush hours and customer escalations calmly.

Education
Diploma / degree in hotel management or hospitality preferred; experienced bar professionals without formal qualification can also apply.

Shifts & Language
Ready to work evening and late-night shifts, weekends and festive days; good communication in English with basic Tamil or Hindi for guest interaction.
