Architect Jobs in Chennai

Hiring Architect in Chennai for reputed construction and real estate company to handle concept design, space planning, authority drawings and site coordination for residential and commercial projects.

The architect will work closely with clients, structural and MEP teams, and site engineers to deliver functional, aesthetic and cost-effective building designs that meet regulations and project timelines.

• Concept & Schematic Design

  Develop design concepts, floor plans, elevations and 3D views based on client requirements, site conditions and local building bye-laws.

• Detail & Working Drawings

  Prepare detailed working drawings, sections and joinery details in AutoCAD/Revit for execution at site, coordinating with structural and services drawings.

• Authority & Approval Drawings

  Prepare drawings for CMDA / DTCP / local authority approvals, ensure compliance with setback, FSI, parking and fire norms and coordinate queries if any.

• Client Coordination

  Participate in client meetings, present design options, incorporate feedback and provide technical clarifications related to design and materials.

• Site Visits & Quality Checks

  Visit project sites periodically to check execution as per drawings, resolve design issues and suggest improvements for functionality and aesthetics.

• Education & Registration

  B.Arch / M.Arch from recognised institution with COA registration; strong academic background in architecture and building design.

• Experience

  2–8 years experience as architect in construction, real estate or architecture firm, with portfolio of residential or commercial projects.

• Software Skills

  Good proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM tools, SketchUp and MS Office; knowledge of 3D rendering software is an added advantage.

• Other Skills

  Strong design sense, attention to detail, understanding of building materials and services, good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
