Hiring AC Technician in Chennai for leading AC and HVAC service companies to handle split, window and VRF/VRV AC installation, preventive service, breakdown repair and maintenance at residential and commercial sites. Suitable for technicians with 1-6 years experience in AC field service who can independently attend calls, troubleshoot issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Installation & Commissioning

  Install split, window and cassette AC units, mount indoor/outdoor units, complete copper piping, drain line, wiring and commission the system as per standards.

• Service & Preventive Maintenance

  Perform routine servicing including filter cleaning, water wash, coil cleaning, gas level check and overall health check of AC units as per AMC schedule.

• Troubleshooting & Repair

  Diagnose issues like no cooling, abnormal noise, water leakage and electrical faults; repair or replace faulty components such as PCB, capacitor, fan motor and sensors.

• Gas Charging & Leak Check

  Identify gas leaks, perform vacuuming, recharge refrigerant safely using gauges and follow company guidelines for handling refrigerant gas.

• Documentation & Customer Handling

  Update service reports, collect customer signatures, explain work done and basic maintenance tips, and maintain polite professional behaviour at all times.

• Education

  ITI (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Electrician) or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical; candidates with strong AC experience also considered.

• Experience

  1-6 years experience as AC Technician / HVAC Technician handling split and window AC; VRF/VRV or chiller experience is an added advantage.

• Skills

  Good knowledge of AC components, installation practices, troubleshooting, gas charging, basic electricals and safe handling of tools and ladders.

• Other

  Two-wheeler preferred for field visits within Chennai, willingness to work in shifts/overtime during peak season and strong focus on customer service and punctuality.
