About the RF Optimisation Engineer Role
Hiring RF Optimisation Engineer Telecom company in pimpri-and-chinchwad. Responsibilities are expanding 4G and 5G networks in Pimpri-and-chinchwad are hiring RF Optimisation Engineers to conduct drive tests, analyse network performance data and implement parameter changes to improve coverage, capacity and quality of service.
Candidates with hands-on experience in RF drive testing, knowledge of tools like TEMS, Nemo Walk or MapInfo, familiarity with 4G LTE/5G NR optimisation parameters and proficiency in post-processing tools are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Testing
Plan and execute RF drive tests across Pimpri-and-chinchwad using TEMS, Nemo Walk or equivalent tools to measure network coverage and quality benchmarks.
- KPI Analysis & Optimisation
Analyse 4G/5G network KPIs including RSRP, SINR, throughput and call drop rate; identify root causes and implement RF parameter changes.
- Coverage Gap Resolution
Identify coverage holes, interference zones and high-interference areas in Pimpri-and-chinchwad; propose and implement solutions such as tilt/power adjustments.
- Capacity Planning Support
Analyse traffic load and capacity utilisation per cell; recommend capacity enhancement measures for congested areas in the Pimpri-and-chinchwad network.
- Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly RF optimisation performance reports; present findings and recommendations to the network planning team.
Candidate Requirements
- Education
B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from a recognised university in Maharastra or elsewhere.
- Experience
2-8 years in RF planning or optimisation roles at a telecom operator, managed services company or network planning firm.
- Tools Proficiency
Hands-on experience with drive test tools (TEMS, Nemo Walk), post-processing software (ACTIX, Atoll) and MapInfo for coverage analysis.
- Technology Knowledge
Good knowledge of 4G LTE and 5G NR air interface, RF propagation, antenna theory and inter-frequency/inter-RAT handover procedures.
