About the Maintenance Engineer – Telecom Network Role
Telecom and tower company in Pimpri-and-chinchwad are hiring Maintenance Engineers to perform scheduled preventive maintenance and urgent corrective maintenance of BTS, transmission, OFC, power and passive infrastructure across telecom sites.
Candidates with hands-on maintenance experience in telecom network equipment including BTS/RRU, microwave, OFC, DC power plants and DG sets, with a valid two-wheeler licence for multi-site travel, are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance
Execute scheduled PM activities on BTS/RRU, microwave links, OFC joints, DC power plants and DG sets at telecom sites as per PM calendar.
- Corrective Maintenance
Respond to equipment alarms and field faults; diagnose and repair BTS, transmission and power system faults within SLA timelines.
- OFC Maintenance
Inspect OFC routes, identify cable damage or high-attenuation sections and carry out splicing repairs; perform regular OTDR tests.
- Power System Maintenance
Maintain and service DC power plants, battery banks, rectifiers and DG sets at telecom sites; coordinate fuel deliveries and servicing.
- Maintenance Documentation
Complete PM checklists, fault reports and site logbooks accurately; update maintenance records in the company's asset management system.
Candidate Requirements
- Education
Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in ECE or EEE from a recognised polytechnic or engineering college in Maharastra.
- Experience
2-8 years in telecom network maintenance at a telecom operator, tower company or system integrator in Pimpri-and-chinchwad or Maharastra.
- Technical Knowledge
Hands-on knowledge of BTS/RRU systems, microwave equipment, OFC splicing, DC power plants, DG sets and basic RF parameters.
- Mobility
Two-wheeler driving licence mandatory; must be available for on-call maintenance duties and willing to manage multiple sites in Pimpri-and-chinchwad.
