GPON / OLT Engineer Telecom Jobs in Pimpri-Chinchwad

Broadband ISPs and Telecom expanding FTTH networks in Pimpri-and-chinchwad are hiring GPON and OLT Engineers to configure, commission, maintain and troubleshoot GPON OLT systems and manage subscriber provisioning on fibre access networks.

Candidates with hands-on experience in GPON OLT configuration (Huawei, ZTE, Nokia, Fiberhome brands), FTTH network architecture and OTDR-based fault diagnosis are preferred for these high-demand roles.

• OLT Configuration & Commissioning

  Configure and commission GPON OLT equipment including VLAN setup, GPON service profiles, subscriber provisioning and bandwidth management.

• Subscriber Provisioning

  Provision new FTTH subscribers on the OLT platform; configure ONT serial number registration, VLAN mapping and speed profiles per service plans.

• Fault Management

  Diagnose and resolve GPON network faults including OLT card failures, ONT registration issues and fibre signal degradation via OTDR analysis.

• Network Monitoring

  Monitor GPON network performance parameters including optical power levels, OLT CPU load and PON port utilisation; generate alerts for anomalies.

• Capacity Planning

  Track subscriber growth on each OLT and PON port; plan capacity additions by recommending new OLT line cards or PON port expansions.

• Education

  B.E./B.Tech in ECE or IT from a recognised university; specialised training in GPON technology is an advantage.

• Experience

  2-7 years in GPON OLT configuration and FTTH network operations at an ISP, telecom operator or system integrator in Pimpri-and-chinchwad or Maharastra.

• Technical Skills

  Hands-on experience with GPON OLT platforms (Huawei SmartAX, ZTE, Nokia ISAM or similar); knowledge of VLAN, QoS, PPPoE and RADIUS.

• Troubleshooting

  Proficiency in OTDR interpretation, fibre signal analysis, ONT alarm troubleshooting and GPON layer fault isolation.
