About the GM / Head – Telecom Operations Role

Leading Telecom and broadband company headquartered or with major offices in Pimpri-Chinchwad are hiring General Manager and Heads of Operations to lead the company's entire operational strategy and execution.

Candidates with 15+ years in senior telecom leadership, strong experience in running large-scale operations organisations, P&L accountabilit and a track record of transformational performance improvement are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Operations Strategy

    Define and execute the overall operations strategy for the telecom company including network maintenance, field services, FTTH rollout and customer experience.

  • P&L Accountability

    Own the operational P&L including revenue assurance, cost management and EBITDA delivery for the Pimpri-Chinchwad circle or national operations vertical.

  • Executive Team Leadership

    Lead a large organisation of Operations Managers, Regional Managers and functional heads; set vision, culture and performance standards.

  • Board & Investor Reporting

    Prepare and present operational performance reports to the Board, investors and senior management; represent operations in strategic planning forums.

  • Digital & Technology Transformation

    Drive digital transformation of operations including automation of field workflows, AI-based fault prediction and smart network management systems.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education

    MBA from a premier institution with B.E./B.Tech in ECE or Telecom; additional executive leadership programmes from IIMs are an advantage.

  • Experience

    15-25 years in Telecom Company industry with at least 6 years in a GM, VP or equivalent senior leadership role at a major telecom operator in India.

  • Leadership Excellence

    Demonstrated ability to lead large organisations (500+ employees), drive cultural transformation and deliver sustained operational improvements.

  • Industry Network

    Strong network within the IndianTelecom Company industry including relationships with TRAI, equipment vendors, tower company and enterprise clients.
