About the Assistant Area Manager – Telecom Service Role
Telecom operator in Pimpri-and-chinchwad are hiring Assistant Area Managers for Service Operations to support the Area Manager in managing field service teams, ensuring SLA compliance and maintaining high customer satisfaction scores.
Candidates with 4+ years in telecom service operations with experience in managing field teams, vendors and service KPIs across a geographic territory in Pimpri-and-chinchwad or Maharastra are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Operations Oversight
Assist the Area Manager in overseeing all service delivery operations including installation, maintenance and fault rectification across the assigned Pimpri-and-chinchwad territory.
- Team Management
Supervise a team of Field Engineers, Technicians and Service Coordinators; conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- SLA & KPI Monitoring
Monitor daily service KPIs including MTTR, first-time fix rate and customer satisfaction; identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Vendor Management
Manage field contractors and AMC vendors for outsourced service activities; ensure compliance with SLA terms and quality standards.
- Escalation Handling
Handle escalated customer complaints and critical incidents; coordinate with NOC and field teams for priority resolutions.
Candidate Requirements
- Education
B.E./B.Tech in ECE or EEE, or any degree with MBA in Operations or Service Management from a recognised university.
- Experience
4-9 years in telecom service operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager level role.
- Leadership
Proven ability to manage a distributed field team of 15-30 people; strong people management and conflict resolution skills.
- Technical Knowledge
Good understanding of telecom network elements, broadband technologies, power systems and service SLA frameworks.
