Role Overview

We are looking for talented Pastry Chefs to join reputed hotels, bakeries, cafes, and patisseries in Navi Mumbai. You will be responsible for creating a wide range of desserts, pastries, breads, and confectionery items that delight customers.

This role is perfect for creative individuals with a passion for baking and dessert presentation. Both experienced pastry chefs and freshers with formal bakery training (Diploma/ITI in Bakery) can apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, breads, and desserts as per recipes and standards.
  • Develop new recipes and creative dessert presentations for seasonal menus and special occasions.
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and appearance of all baked goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen following food safety standards (HACCP).
  • Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and place orders as needed.
  • Operate and maintain baking equipment (ovens, mixers, proofers) safely.
  • Train and supervise junior pastry staff / apprentices (for senior roles).
  • Coordinate with the head chef / management for menu planning and cost control.

Candidate Profile

  • Diploma / Certificate in Bakery & Patisserie from a recognized institute (e.g., ITI, HM, Lavonne, Academy of Pastry Arts).
  • 0–5 years of experience in a bakery, hotel, or patisserie (freshers with training can apply).
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and recipe formulations.
  • Creativity in dessert decoration and presentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good hygiene practices and attention to detail.
  • Team player with passion for the craft.

Specializations (Good to have)

  • Artisan Breads: Sourdough, baguettes, croissants, brioche.
  • Patisserie: Entremets, tarts, mousses, éclairs, macarons.
  • Celebration Cakes: Wedding cakes, fondant cakes, cupcakes.
  • Indian Sweets: Traditional Indian confectionery (optional).
  • Chocolate Work: Tempering, ganache, pralines, showpieces.
