Role Overview

Audiologist jobs in Mumbai for a hearing clinic involve assessing children and adults with hearing and balance difficulties, diagnosing type and degree of hearing loss and recommending suitable hearing solutions and rehabilitation.

You will perform audiological tests, fit and program hearing aids, counsel patients and families on communication strategies and coordinate with ENT specialists and speech therapists for complete hearing care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pure tone audiometry, impedance audiometry and other basic audiological tests for paediatric and adult patients.
  • Interpret test results, identify type and degree of hearing loss and prepare clear audiology reports for ENT doctors.
  • Suggest appropriate hearing aids and assistive listening devices and handle fitting, programming and fine-tuning.
  • Counsel patients and family members on use, care and maintenance of hearing aids and communication strategies at home and work.
  • Educate patients about hearing conservation, noise protection and early signs of hearing problems.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, test results, fitting details and follow-up notes in clinic / hospital software.
  • Coordinate with ENT specialists, speech therapists and other team members for combined management and rehab plans.
  • Participate in hearing screening camps, corporate programs and awareness sessions on hearing health as required.

Candidate Profile

  • BASLP / M.Sc Audiology / Bachelor in Audiology from recognised institution.
  • 0–3 years experience as Audiologist in hearing clinic, ENT hospital or hospital audiology department; freshers can also apply.
  • Good hands-on skills in basic audiological assessments and interest in hearing aid fitting and rehabilitation.
  • Strong communication and counselling skills with patient-friendly and empathetic approach.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, weekends or camp visits as per clinic / hospital schedule.
