Key Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans, class notes, worksheets and question papers for different class levels.
- Conduct reading, writing and speaking activities to strengthen vocabulary, pronunciation and sentence structure.
- Give class tests, term exams and revision tests and evaluate answer papers with clear feedback.
- Encourage students to participate in debates, speeches, role plays and other English related activities.
- Maintain classroom discipline, keep attendance records and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Communicate student performance and behaviour updates to parents during meetings when needed.
- Teach English lessons covering prose, poetry, grammar and composition as per school syllabus.
Candidate Profile
- Graduate or post graduate in English with B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous experience as English teacher in a school will be an added advantage.
- Strong command over English grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation with clear communication skills.
- Ability to handle classes confidently, explain lessons in simple language and motivate students of different levels.
