Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and place orders as needed.
- Decorate cakes and pastries as required.
- Assist in developing new recipes and products.
- Train and supervise junior bakery staff (for senior roles).
- Prepare and bake various types of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods.
- Mix and prepare dough, batters, fillings, and toppings according to recipes.
- Operate and monitor ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment.
- Ensure consistent quality, taste, and appearance of all baked products.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery area following food safety standards.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma / Certificate in Bakery & Patisserie from a recognized institute.
- 0–5 years of experience in a bakery or hotel kitchen (freshers with training can apply).
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and recipe formulations.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Creativity in baking and presentation.
- Ability to work in early morning shifts and fast-paced environments.
- Team player with attention to detail.
Types of Bakery Items
- Breads: Sourdough, baguettes, brioche, multigrain, sandwich breads.
- Pastries: Croissants, danishes, puff pastries, tarts.
- Cakes: Layer cakes, cupcakes, cheesecakes, celebration cakes.
- Cookies & Biscuits: Chocolate chip, shortbread, traditional cookies.
- Indian Sweets: Traditional Indian bakery items (optional).
