Role Overview

We are hiring organized and detail-oriented Store Keepers for reputed hotels in Kannur. You will be responsible for managing inventory, receiving and issuing supplies, maintaining stock records, coordinating with kitchen and housekeeping departments, and ensuring proper storage of food, beverage, and operational items.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in storekeeping or inventory management, preferably in the hospitality industry. Freshers with relevant qualifications can also apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect all incoming supplies (food, beverage, cleaning materials, linen, etc.) against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Maintain accurate stock records using manual or computerized inventory systems.
  • Issue supplies to various departments (kitchen, housekeeping, restaurant, etc.) as per requisition forms.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, hygiene, FIFO) for perishable and non-perishable items.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies to prevent shortages.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store area.
  • Coordinate with purchase department for timely procurement.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety standards, and food safety regulations.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline (B.Com preferred).
  • 1โ€“5 years of experience in storekeeping or inventory management (hotel experience preferred). Freshers with relevant degree can apply.
  • Knowledge of inventory software and MS Excel.
  • Understanding of FIFO/FEFO methods and storage requirements.
  • Good numerical and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Basic communication skills in English and Tamil.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Hotel Store Types

  • Food Store: Dry goods, canned items, spices, cooking ingredients.
  • Cold Storage / Walk-in: Perishable items (meat, dairy, vegetables, fruits).
  • Beverage Store: Soft drinks, bottled water, alcoholic beverages.
  • Housekeeping Store: Linen, towels, cleaning supplies, toiletries.
  • General Store: Stationery, uniforms, maintenance items.
