Role Overview
We are hiring skilled Cath Lab Technicians for reputed multi-speciality hospital in Kannur. You will be responsible for assisting cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures, operating specialized cath lab equipment, maintaining sterility, monitoring patients, and ensuring radiation safety.
This role is ideal for technicians with experience in cardiac catheterization labs who are proficient in handling angiography, angioplasty, and other interventional cardiology procedures. Freshers with relevant qualifications can also apply for junior positions.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the cath lab with necessary equipment, catheters, guidewires, contrast media, and emergency medications.
- Assist cardiologists during coronary angiograms, angioplasties, pacemaker insertions, and other interventional procedures.
- Operate and monitor imaging systems, X-ray equipment, and hemodynamic recording systems.
- Monitor patient vital signs, ECG, and pressure readings in real-time during procedures.
- Maintain strict sterile techniques and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
- Implement radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
- Perform routine equipment checks, calibration, and troubleshooting; report malfunctions immediately.
- Document procedure details, radiation doses, medication usage, and maintain patient records.
- Assist in post-procedure patient care, sheath removal, and monitoring during recovery.
- Manage inventory of supplies, restock materials, and ensure availability of emergency drugs.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Cath Lab Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field.
- 1–8 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory (freshers with relevant training can apply).
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures.
- Proficiency in operating cath lab equipment including X-ray systems, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitors.
- Ability to interpret basic ECGs and recognize cardiac arrhythmias.
- Understanding of radiation safety protocols and NABH / AERB guidelines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including on-call duties for emergencies.
Procedures & Equipment
- Diagnostic Procedures: Coronary angiography, peripheral angiography, IVUS, FFR.
- Interventional Procedures: Angioplasty (PTCA), stent placement, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy.
- Electrophysiology: EP studies, pacemaker / ICD implantations.
- Structural Heart: TAVR, mitral clip, ASD / VSD closure.
- Equipment: X-ray / fluoroscopy systems, contrast injectors, hemodynamic monitors, IABP, temporary pacemakers.
