Role Overview
We are hiring experienced Bar Manager for reputed hotel bar in Kannur. You will be responsible for overseeing bar operations, managing staff, creating cocktails, controlling inventory, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with liquor laws.
This role is ideal for hospitality professionals with strong beverage knowledge and team leadership skills. Experienced candidates with 3+ years in bar management are encouraged to apply.
👥 Team Leadership
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff including bartenders, barbacks, and servers.
- Create and update cocktail menus, develop signature drinks, and ensure quality standards.
- Manage inventory of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, and bar supplies.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control costs to meet budget targets.
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws, safety regulations, and responsible alcohol service.
- Handle guest complaints and special requests professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Prepare reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance.
- Collaborate with kitchen and management for promotions and events.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or related field (preferred).
- 3–8 years of experience in bar operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
- Extensive knowledge of beverages, cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Tamil.
- Understanding of inventory management and cost control.
- Knowledge of liquor laws and responsible service practices.
- Certifications in bartending or beverage management are a plus.
