Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate purchase records, inventory levels, and reorder points.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, food safety standards, and hygiene regulations.
Manage import purchases and customs clearance for specialized items if required.
Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.
Resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or billing with vendors.
Manage end-to-end procurement for the hotel including food, beverages, kitchen supplies, housekeeping items, and operational equipment.
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term vendor relationships.
Ensure timely delivery of all purchased items while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor market trends and pricing to optimize procurement costs.
Coordinate with department heads (kitchen, housekeeping, F&B) to understand their requirements and plan purchases accordingly.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in any discipline (MBA in Supply Chain / Materials Management preferred).
5–10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a hotel or hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage products, hotel supplies, and procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel.
Understanding of food safety standards and hotel operations.
Strong communication skills in English and Tamil.
Ability to work independently and make strategic purchasing decisions.
