The position is based in Mysuru and involves working closely with wards, clinics, billing, and front office teams to keep records organised and accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Check records for basic completeness, missing documents, and legibility before filing or sending to other departments.
- Track movement of files using register or software, and follow up with departments to ensure records are returned to MRD.
- Support scanning, indexing, and archiving of older records based on hospital retention policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and release records or copies only through approved processes and authorisations.
- Receive, organise, and file physical and electronic medical records for OP and IP patients as per hospital guidelines.
- Retrieve case sheets and files for admissions, outpatient visits, procedures, and reviews within required timelines.
Experience and Profile
- Experience in hospital medical records, front office, or health information roles is an advantage.
- Comfortable handling large volumes of files, registers, and basic computer-based record systems.
- Attention to detail while checking patient identifiers, dates, and document sequence in each file.
- Willingness to work from the hospital in shifts if required, including rotation between OPD and IP sections.
