You will handle theory and practical classes, guide students in projects and seminars, and participate in departmental activities such as curriculum updates, examinations, and academic events.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update lesson plans, lecture notes, and learning materials in line with the college syllabus and recent developments in the subject.
- Set question papers, evaluate answer scripts and records, and support internal assessment and university examination work.
- Guide students in assignments, seminars, mini-projects, and where applicable, research or dissertation work.
- Participate in department meetings, quality initiatives, and college programmes, and support accreditation or NAAC-related documentation when required.
- Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Biochemistry covering core topics like biomolecules, metabolism, enzymology, molecular biology, and clinical biochemistry.
- Conduct practical sessions in the biochemistry laboratory, demonstrate experiments, and ensure safe handling of chemicals, instruments, and biological samples.
Candidate Profile
- Postgraduate qualification in Biochemistry or closely related life science discipline (M.Sc / M.Phil / Ph.D) from a recognised university, as per applicable norms.
- Prior teaching or academic experience in a college or university is desirable; freshers with strong subject knowledge may also be considered as per college policy.
- Strong conceptual understanding of biochemistry and ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently to students.
- Good communication skills, interest in student mentoring, and willingness to participate in academic and co‑curricular activities of the department.
Academic and Research Contribution
