Role Overview

As a Site Engineer, you will act as the main technical person at site, support the project engineer or project manager and make sure the work progresses on time with proper planning and reporting.[web:589][web:591]

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in taking measurements, preparing running bills and supporting documentation for contractors and clients.[web:581][web:595]
  • Ensure safety measures and housekeeping at site, check use of helmets, shoes and other PPE by workers.[web:583][web:593]
  • Report site issues, delays and technical problems to senior engineers and suggest practical solutions where possible.[web:583][web:596]
  • Supervise daily civil work at site such as marking, excavation, foundation, RCC, brickwork, plastering and finishing as per approved drawings.[web:583][web:595]
  • Check levels, alignment, shuttering and reinforcement before concreting and ensure quality at each stage of construction.[web:586][web:595]
  • Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, labour and material suppliers to ensure timely availability of manpower and materials.[web:583][web:593]
  • Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, labour reports and basic material consumption records for the site.[web:583][web:594]

Candidate Profile

  • Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 1–5 years experience as Site Engineer in building or infrastructure projects.[web:585][web:596]
  • Ability to read and understand civil drawings, bar bending schedules and basic structural details.[web:586][web:595]
  • Basic knowledge of construction materials, concreting, masonry and finishing works with a focus on quality.[web:582][web:595]
  • Willingness to work full time at project sites in and around Mangaluru and manage labour and subcontractors on a daily basis.[web:593][web:596]
