Key Responsibilities
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control costs to meet budget targets.
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws, safety regulations, and responsible alcohol service.
- Handle guest complaints and special requests professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Prepare reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance.
- Collaborate with kitchen and management for promotions and events.
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff including bartenders, barbacks, and servers.
- Create and update cocktail menus, develop signature drinks, and ensure quality standards.
- Manage inventory of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, and bar supplies.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or related field (preferred).
- 3–8 years of experience in bar operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
- Extensive knowledge of beverages, cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Tamil.
- Understanding of inventory management and cost control.
- Knowledge of liquor laws and responsible service practices.
- Certifications in bartending or beverage management are a plus.
